China's Ambassador to the United Kingdom on Wednesday expressed strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition to the recent comments and acts on Hong Kong made by the British government, urging the UK to know clearly its position and to stop wanton interference in China's internal affairs.
The ambassador, Liu Xiaoming, made the remarks at a press conference held at the Chinese Embassy in the UK on the storming of Hong Kong's Legislative Council (LegCo) Complex on July 1, the 22nd anniversary of the return of Hong Kong to the motherland.
